Acumen - Alliance for Mental Health System Models

Acumen - Alliance for Mental Health System Models

Acumen is a national network comprising experienced stakeholders in modelling mental health services from across Australia and aims to reduce population mental illness and improve mental health outcomes through addressing the social determinants in mental health and health system design.

Acumen will do this by:

  • Creating a national network to identify opportunities for collaboration and data sharing in mental health service modelling.
  • Providing a central national reference point for expert advice and best practice in evidence-based modelling for policy and services.
  • Providing scientific peer review and recommendations to relevant parties that could be provided as tools to assist regional mental health planning.
  • Supporting implementation of evidence-based mental health planning on-the-ground.

We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present and stand together with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

RECOGNITION OF LIVED EXPERIENCE

We acknowledge people in our communities with lived experience of mental health, drug and alcohol concerns and those who care for them. We respect and value their generous contributions to our research.
