One in five Australians experience mental illness every year and almost half of all Australians will experience a mental health disorder in their lifetime.

Sadly, many people with or at risk of mental health disorders don’t have readily available access to receive the treatment or support they need to prevent or manage mental distress. This can lead to a lack of ability to cope and they may experience disruptions to education, employment or relationships. In addition, it can have an immense impact to a person’s life satisfaction.

How can you help reduce the impact of mental illness?

You can make an incredible impact by donating to fund vital mental health research at QCMHR. This research seeks to better understand the causes of mental disorders and how to develop improved treatments, services, and policies for people in need.

As an organisation of West Moreton Health, QCMHR's philanthropic and fundraising initiatives are managed by the Ipswich Hospital Foundation. Together, we will ensure your donation is tax deductible and directed toward supporting vital mental health research and initiatives being undertaken at QCMHR.

To donate to QCMHR, select the amount and frequency you would like to donate. On the next screen, enter your details and select 'Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research' from the "cause to support" dropdown.
