National Suicide Prevention Trial Evaluation

National Suicide Prevention Trial Evaluation

Professor Philip Burgess and Associate Professor Meredith Harris collaborated with a consortium, led by the University of Melbourne, to evaluate the National Suicide Prevention Trial (NSPT). The NSPT was a major initiative involving 11 Primary Health Networks (PHNs) taking a systems-based approach to commissioning enhanced services for people at risk of suicide.

The evaluation was funded by the Australian Government Department of Health from 2017-2020. The evaluation was completed in 2020.

The Evaluation of the National Suicide Prevention Trial considered the implementation, and outcomes of this project initiative using a range of sources and methods.
