ALIVE: National Research Translation Centre for Mental Health

Associate Professor Harris is a founding Chief Investigator on this ground-breaking new centre funded in 2021 from a $10 million National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Special Initiative in Mental Health grant. The grant will support the first Australian national research translation centre to implement mental health care into routine primary care and community settings.

The centre is a partnership involving 15 universities from all states and territories, including The University of Queensland, with University of Melbourne as the lead institution. Associate Professor Harris will contribute to a program of research focused on requirements for implementing effective interventions and models of care into routine care.
