Adolescent Day Program Review

About the project

In 2023, the Mental Health Evaluation Research Stream at the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR) was commissioned by the Queensland Department of Health (DoH) and the Department of Education (DoE) to undertake a review of Queensland’s Adolescent Day Programs (ADPs). This project aimed to establish how each of the ADPs in Queensland are implemented and function as a system in practice, given that the MoS emphasises a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment, recovery, and education that prioritises input from young people and their carers, with the partnership arrangement between DoH and DoE being a defining feature.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

The Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR) acknowledges the Jagera, Yuggera, Ugarapul and Turrbal people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which QCMHR operates and their continuing connections to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present and stand together with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

RECOGNITION OF LIVED EXPERIENCE

We acknowledge people in our communities with lived experience of mental health, drug and alcohol concerns and those who care for them. We respect and value their generous contributions to our research.
