The Mental Health Outcomes and Case Complexity Research Stream undertakes a nationally significant program of mental health services research, development and evaluation that is closely linked to mental health reform.
Our major project is the Analysis and Reporting component of the Australian Mental Health Outcomes and Classification Network (AMHOCN). This work focuses on the analysis and reporting of Mental Health National Outcomes and Casemix Collection (NOCC) data at the national, state and service level.
Since 2003, we have held a continuous series of contracts for services with the Australian Government to undertake this work. The overarching objective of AMHOCN is to support and promote the implementation and use of mental health outcome measures in routine clinical practice in specialised public mental health services in all states and territories.
